Thomas Eugene Ambrose, 52, of Tiffin, died at 11:39 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, at his residence.

Tommy was born Jan. 7, 1957, in Tiffin, to Franklyn "Spud" and Sara (Paradiso) Ambrose. He married Jacqueline Kay (Beeler) Nov. 4, 1983, at St. Mary Catholic Church, and she survives.

Tommy is survived by his son, Quinton Ambrose, and daughter, Alexis Ambrose, both of Tiffin; three brothers, Frank (Janet) Ambrose of Oviedo, Fla., Michael (Elizabeth) Ambrose of Columbus and Daniel (Patty) Ambrose of Tiffin; and a sister, Patricia Ambrose of Tiffin.

Tommy was retired from the U.S. Navy where he served with the NMCB5 Company during Desert Shield. Tommy also worked as a General Contractor for many years. He was a life member of the Tiffin VFW and AMVETS, he enjoyed camping, boating, golfing and was an avid OSU fan along with the Cleveland Cavs, Indians and Browns. He was a 1975 graduate of Calvert High School.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, with the Rev. Gary Walters officiating.

Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home in Tiffin.

Burial will follow the service Saturday at the parish cemetery with military honors being rendered by the United Veterans' Council.
