PERRYSBURG - Lakota pulled away more in each game against Lake, winning 25-20, 25-18, 25-8 in the Division III district semifinals.

Amy Gosche served up four aces, pummeled 13 kills and registered nine digs and 19 assists to lead the Raider charge, while Jessica Hoffman backed her by hammering 14 kills and tallying eight digs.

Kylie Podach recorded five blocks. and Hannah Podach came up with 12 digs.

Lakota (20-4) moves on to Saturday's district finals to face Otsego, a former Suburban Lakes League rival.

Margaretta sweeps Seneca East in semis

WILLARD - Margaretta ended Seneca East's season, winning 25-18, 25-22, 25-18 in the Division III district semifinals. Seneca East (7-18) couldn't get the ball rolling in the first game and came close in the second before Margaretta put it away in the third.

Shana Hay hammered eight kills and registered six digs to lead the Tigers' efforts, while Erica Cramer lined seven kills.

Kaci Miller led the defensive side with 12 digs, while Lauren Phillips recorded three blocks and Julia Kagy dished out 21 assists.
