50th Jubilee celebration
Sister Mary Alice Stein, daughter of the late Robert and Florence Stein, is to he honored by her family Sunday during a mass offered at St. Mary Catholic Church with a reception following for friends and family at St. Joseph in the Upper Room.
The sister is to officially celebrate her entering the Sister's of Charity Tuesday in Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati.
Sycamore UCC to begin fall schedule
SYCAMORE - Sycamore United Church of Christ is to begin its fall schedule beginning Sunday. Worship is to begin at 10:30 a.m. Beginning Sept. 27, Sunday school is to being at 9:15 a.m. and worship is to follow.

FOSTORIA - St. John United Church of Christ, located on SR 587, is to host a barbecue 4:30-6:30 p.m. Sept. 12.

'Do Not Keep Silent' to air
UPPER?SANDUSKY - WXML - 90.1 FM, the "Christian Voice of Northwest Ohio," is to air the new program, "Do Not Keep Silent," 7-8 p.m. beginning Sept. 20.
The program is to feature some of today's "hottest" Christian music, interviews with local and national ministries/artists as well as biblical teaching for today's students and young adults. The program is to be hosted by Jason DeZurik, a 14-year youth ministry veteran and president of Worldview Warriors. Worldview Warriors is a group of youth leaders and musicians passionate about teaching and worshiping Jesus Christ.

Latino Day at the shrine
CAREY - The Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation is to host a Latino Day at the shrine, Sept. 20.
The schedule for the day is confessions in Spanish and English beginning at 10:30 a.m. until noon. The Mass in Spanish is to be conducted in the Upper Basilica at noon and there is to be special music at Mass and throughout the day. English Masses for the day are at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.
The cafeteria is to be open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and is to serve ethnic food. At 2:30 p.m. there is to be an outdoor Rosary precession and devotions. Prayers for healing with the relic of the True Cross are to conclude the day.

Beginning Sept. 22, the Christ Church's women's group is to study the book Bad Girls of the Bible by Liz Curtis Higgs. The group is to study 10 women from the bible using her book and reading related Bible verses.
The purpose of this group is to unite women through prayer, bible study and application of bible principles.
The group meets 9:30-11 a.m. or 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesdays at Christ's Church at Tiffin in the fellowship hall.

Sister Roberta Marie Doneth has been named the new administrator of the St. Francis Spirituality Center. The Center, sponsored by the Sisters of St. Francis, offers retreats and other programs and is a place of contemplation, prayer and active learning open to people of all faiths.
The sister is a member of the Sisters of St. Francis and has been a teacher, school administrator, served in congregational leadership and presently serves as a spiritual director, retreat leader and is a member of the Franciscan pilgrimage staff in Rome and Assisi, Italy. She has a bachelor's degree in education, a master's degree in administration and a master's degree in franciscan spirituality and theology.
