Doggone good care

POSTED: July 3, 2009

Arf! Arf! Bow wow! These words, along with tail-wagging and tongue licking, tell me how Magic the school therapy dog feels about the care he receives from Dr. Brad McClung and his staff.

This morning, Magic was greeted by happy, caring and energetic staff members when we arrived for his "spa" treatment. Yes, it is time for a bath and nail trim. He responded to the ladies' attention and love with kisses, wiggles and a tail wagging more than a mile a minute!

As Magic's primary caregiver, I am very thankful for McClung's expertise and generosity. When I pitched the school therapy dog idea to him, almost four years ago, his response was instant: "We'll take care of everything!" With great enthusiasm, he has certainly been a man of his word!

For over three years, Magic has received awesome care from Dr. Brad and his staff. He diagnosed Magic as having a slow thyroid, and with a simple prescription, has eliminated the frequent ear infections Magic suffered from. The doctor hires top-notch employees whose kindness is doggone terrific! We are always treated with great respect and a smile. Working with Magic for three-plus years has given me great insight into reading his body language. I know when he enters McClung's office, he has an eager look on his face, ears are perked and tail is wagging. Magic loves to visit his office.

Thanks, doctor and staff, for everything you do to keep Magic healthy and smelling good! You're the best!

Suzanne Reinhart and Magic
