Former pharmacist accused of stealing Viagra, other drugs
A former Kroger pharmacist accused of stealing Viagra, along with two other prescription drugs from Kroger, appeared in court Friday morning.
James G. Koehl, 52, of Tiffin, pleaded not guilty Friday after he was indicted Wednesday on four counts of theft, according to court documents.
Koehl is accused of stealing Viagra, Guaifenex and Tussionex from Kroger in February and March of 2008.
He faces three charges of theft of drugs, a fourth-degree felony.
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Web site, Guaifenex and Tussionex are commonly prescribed to relieve cough and cold symptoms.
Koehl was released Friday on a recognizance bond under the conditions he have no contact with Kroger and he report to the Seneca County Sheriff's Office for fingerprints and photographs, documents show.
