Jobs.Advertiser-Tribune.com launched today to provide area residents looking for jobs more resources, while offering potential employers more ways to find qualified workers.

The Web site features the ability to search current job openings in the area, as well as regional openings in which people also may be interested. The Advertiser-Tribune has partnered with other newspapers in the region to create the most locally centered job site available anywhere on the Web. Other newspapers joining with The Advertiser-Tribune include The (East Liverpool) Review, The (Lisbon) Morning Journal, The Salem News and The (Warren) Tribune Chronicle. Job seekers have the option of expanding or contracting their search to any distance they wish.

Setting up an account on the site is easy and free to job seekers.

Once a job seeker sets up an account on the site, he or she should establish their profile. Doing so will allow users of Jobs.Advertiser-Tribune.com to upload resumes and cover letters to the site and apply for jobs immediately with one click. The job site also allows job seekers to sign up for e-mail alerts, which will notify them when new jobs are posted that match their profile. They also can save jobs that interest them and view the jobs to which they have applied over the past 18 months using the "apply online" feature.

Profiles of businesses also are available on Jobs.Advertiser-Tribune.com. Every time a business has an open position, that job will be listed with their profile.

The exposure offered by the regional group of newspapers gives employers access to a huge pool of potential qualified and local employees and offers job seekers a wide range of available job opportunities.
