Commissioners to meet again with Treasurer Bernard

The Seneca County Board of Commissioners is expected to meet Monday with County Treasurer Marguerite Bernard. The commissioners are expected to ask about progress toward balancing the county's main checking account.

Lynette Cameron of the county auditor's office and County Prosecutor Ken Egbert Jr. may also participate in the meeting with Bernard. Cameron has been assisting Bernard in seeking a zero variance balance for the checking account.

The commissioners are also expected to meet with preservationist consultant Franklin Conaway of the Seneca County Courthouse Development Group. Conaway is expected to present documentation to the commissioners as the development group continues its effort to establish a plan to preserve the 1884 Seneca County Courthouse for future use.

In another matter, the commissioners expect to hear an update from the Tiffin Area Chamber of Commerce and/or the Seneca Industrial and Economic Development Corp.

The commissioners are expected to consider resolutions for the following:

n Authorizing the county Department of Job and Family Services director to enter into a contract service agreement with Virginia D. Crowe.

n To enter into an agreement on behalf of the county Department of Job and Family Services with Fostoria Community School for the School Readiness Enrichment program'

n Setting the time, date and place for the commissioners to hold the final hearing for the proposed ditch improvement to CR 16 in Eden Township.

n Supplemental appropriations totaling $887 to the Community Corrections Grant fund.

n A supplemental appropriation of $10,000 to the Capital Projects fund.

n Supplemental appropriations totaling $60,278 to the Ambulance Service fund.
