Alberta J. Fisher

Alberta J. Fisher, 92, of Tiffin died at 2:46 a.m., Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.

She was born to the late Nicholas and Mary (Kirian) Lucius, May 3, 1916, in Carey. June 18, 1936, in St. Mary Catholic Church, she married Edwin R. Fisher. He died April 15, 1985.

Survivors include a son, Vern E. (Shirley) Fisher of Tiffin; two daughters, Carol (Robert) Mitten of Toledo and Ancilla (Wade) Beamer of Attica; 20 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two brothers, Richard William Lucius of West Covina, Calif. and Earl Lucius of Tiffin; and a sister, Rose Knowlton of Sandusky.

She is preceded in death by a daughter, Sylvia Neff; two sisters, Hilda Jordan and Ruth Eckert; a brother, Richard L. Lucius; and a great-grandson, Keegan Beamer.

Mrs. Fisher attended Calvert High School and retired from General Electric Co. in Tiffin as a welder. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Tiffin and was a Gray Lady volunteer at Mercy Hospital.

Visitation for family and friends will be 6-8 p.m., Friday, July 4, at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-3113.

The funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 5, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tiffin officiated by the Rev. Eric Culler. The rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will take place immediately following the Mass at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to the Tiffin Fire Department Toy Project in care of Traunero Funeral Home.
