Carrie Payne

Carrie Kyan Payne, 18, of 106 E. 4th St., Sycamore, died at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2008, at the scene of an automobile accident.

She was born Feb. 22, 1990, in Upper Sandusky, to Steven G. Payne and Debra R. (Carter) Payne, and they survive in Sycamore.

Carrie is also survived by two brothers, Ryan Sherer and William Payne, both of Sycamore; paternal grandmother, Bernice Payne of Upper Sandusky; maternal grandfather, William Carter of Sycamore; three uncles, Ron (Susan) Payne of Fremont and Chris (Sandy) Payne and Carl Carter, both of Sycamore; three nieces, Alexis Sherer of Sycamore and Tyonna Sipe and Trinitee Sipe, both of Upper Sandusky; two nephews, Brandon Sherer of Sycamore and Wesley Payne of Texas; and many cousins, great-aunts, great-uncles, extended family and many close friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Wesley Payne; and maternal grandmother, Ineze Carter.

Carrie was a member of Mohawk High School class of 2008. She attended Harmony Church, where she was part of the kids’ club youth group. Her hobbies included fishing, riding four-wheelers, driving her car, being with friends and going to the movies with her brothers.

She collected Barbie dolls and enjoyed all animals. Carrie loved children and planned on becoming a teacher. She will be remembered for her outgoing personality, great sense of humor and cheerful spirit.

The funeral is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, with the Rev. Donald Young officiating. Burial is at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at the funeral home.
