Helen Gribben

Helen M. Gribben, 89, formerly of 210 S. Sycamore Ave., Sycamore, died at 7:05 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2008, at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Upper Sandusky.

She was born Oct. 23, 1918, in Sycamore, to George R. and Viola (Shaffer) Rapp. On April 23, 1938, she married George Gribben, and he died June 1, 2000.

Survivors include four daughters, Virginia (Ray) Weininger, Jean (James) Konkle and Peggy (Gary) Sandridge, all of rural Sycamore, and Jana (Glenn) Kuenzli of rural Nevada, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

Family members who preceded her in death are a grandson; a great-granddaughter; her parents; two brothers, Claude Rapp and George Rapp; and three sisters, Gladys Walter, Mae Armatrout and Dorothy Forth.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2008, at Walton - Moore Funeral Home, 201 W. Saffel Ave., Sycamore, with the Rev. Keith DuVernay officiating. Burial is at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Wyandot County.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at the funeral home.
