The love of the outdoors has led two area brothers to spend time doing yardwork for others.

Rudi and Matt Feasel have created a lawn maintenance business, Feasel Outdoor Specialists LLC, to help area residents with their regular lawn clean-up and maintenance needs.

“For the last five or six months, we’ve been putting together the business plan, and we wanted to serve the Tiffin community and surrounding areas,” Rudi said. “We have a love of the outdoors and we got the idea because both of us have sizable yards. It seemed that there was a need for lawn care, a niche out there to serve the community with their basic lawn care needs.”

With spring here, the Feasels are concentrating on cleanup of the yard from the winter months and lawn rolling. They will come out weekly to do the mowing and other yardwork, or they will do a one-time lawn maintenance package.

Top of the line yard equipment has been purchased by the brothers to begin the lawn business. The mower has a bagger attached to pick up the lawn clippings; other equipment includes a weed eater and trimmer, a chainsaw to take care of downed limbs, and a pruner for tree trimming.

They are beginning to build their business in the area, yet have made contacts and traveled to Sandusky, Norwalk, Fostoria and Findlay to do lawn work.

“Since we are a hometown, family operated, small business, our most important effort will be to make sure that the customers are satisfied,” Matt said. “If that means going back until the work is right, that’s what we’ll do. Customer satisfaction and service are key to us. We don’t want to get too big that we forget out regular customers.”

The brothers have divided some of the duties, so Matt is out in the yards and Rudi is the office manager, most of the time.

“When people call, it’s important to get back to them,” Rudi said.
