He was born Oct. 24, 1946, in Fostoria. He grew up in Tiffin.
He is survived by his parents, Charles Richard Jackson (DeeDi) and Betty (Cousin) Jackson. He married LaCretia Lyburtis, and they later divorced.
He is survived by his present wife, Pearlynn (Rawlings) Jackson, whom he married Dec. 23, 1978. Together they raised sons Sean (Kem), Charles Jr. (MeCalle), William Tyrone, Anthony, Mark (Krista), along with daughters April (Eric) Freeman, Heather (Michael) Sims and Amy (Ivory) Williams. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, Sean Jr., Adaliah, Jasmine, Kia, Lena, KeSean, Tanisha, Desmond, Julian, Nyah, Keiyani and Morgan; a brother, Richard Eugene (Kim) Jackson; and sisters, Antoinette (Robert) Heath, Claudette (Paul) Smith and Sarah (Glynn) Joseph.
He retired from American Standard in 2002. He was a dedicated servant of Jehovah, symbolizing that dedication and becoming one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1963.
He loved his family and preaching the good news of the Kingdom to his neighbors, family and friends. Charles, affectionately known as “Lenny,” was loved by many and truly will be missed.
Visitation will be 2-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, with a memorial service following at 3 p.m. at Kingdom Hall, 9935 W. SR 12, Findlay, OH 45840.
