As most of you probably know, WTTF is under new ownership by BAS Broadcasting. When I called WTTF a few days ago, they answered, “Clear Channel Findlay,” and I asked to speak to someone from BAS. Clear Channel gave me a Fremont telephone number and when I called, I got to speak to the owner, Tim Klein.
I asked Klein whether there was a possibility of bringing Doug Stephens back, because he was taken off the air three years ago at WTTF.
I am the one who wrote three years ago to this paper to bring Stephens back. I myself received letters and petitions to return him, without success. I thank the people out there for their support of trying.
Klein told me he personally knows Stephens and had lunch with him recently. Klein asked me, when I brought up “Tradio,” what I thought about a Saturday morning Tradio. I told him we used to have a Saturday morning Tradio before Clear Channel.
