Correspondent Al Stephenson is a lifelong resident of Seneca County, having graduated from Attica High School in1968 and Hiram College in 1972, where he played basketball and baseball. Al retired from New Riegel Local Schools in 2002 after a 30 year career teaching social studies. A sports enthusiast, he currently writes a weekly bowling and golf column for the Advertiser-Tribune.
