State Track Day II 2011

June 4, 2011 - Zach Baker
It's hotter today. We'll see how that affects times in the distance races. As I write this, Upper Sandusky's Evan Logsdon is competing in the high jump. Our first race (all D-III today) is the 1,600, with H-L's Tyler Wise and Mohawk's Drew Trusty. That comes at 10:05.

Upper Sandusky's Evan Logsdon finished second in the high jump at 6-6. He's the area's highest placer to this point. All this for a kid that didn't make regionals a year ago.

SE's Jamie Schafer went fifth in the 400, running in 49.73. Drew Trusty went sixth in the mile (4:24.67). H-L's Tyler Wise didn't place. Storms in the Columbus area caused a delay, so we are still waiting on the 3,200 and 4 x 4, which have area athletes.

Brittany Stockmaster goes sixth in 3,200 after a photo finish for that spot. Well, not technically, but it was very close. An emotional Drew Trusty capped his prep career by going fourth in the 3,200.

New Riegel's Amy Wank placed 14th in the 32, while H-L's 4 x 4 boys took ninth.

And that's that.
