Heidelberg women v. B-W

February 3, 2010 - Zach Baker

With 11:24 left in the first half, Heidelberg trails B-W, 12-5. HU managed just two points in the first eight minutes, but has climbed back a little. nIt's now 14-7 at the 10:31 mark. Offense is the key.

At the 7:48 mark, B-W leads, 21-9. Heidelberg is getting good looks, but not finishing, especially inside. The lack of an inside game has really been problematic during the team's recent slide.

Baldwin-Wallace leads, 23-12. 3:47 left. 12 points in almost 17 minutes won't win many basketball games at this level, particularly one of Baldwin-Wallace's caliber. It's funny in that I feel like the Yellow Jackets are dominating here, but the difference in points is only 11. Heidelberg can make this a game, but the offense has to start hitting.

With less than a half minute left, Heidelberg is behind, 29-14. Right now, B-W is just overpowering Heidelberg. Baldwin-Wallace is a really good team, but I'm not sure its "hold opponent to 14 points in a half" good.

It's 30-14 at the break.

With 14:14 left in the second half, Baldwin-Wallace leads, 36-18. Heidelberg's offense has continued to struggle. But there is a difference. In the first half, Heidelberg turned the ball over six times. The Student Princes have matched that total already in the first six minutes. Nancy Coulter has 10 points for B-W.

At the 9:49 makr, Baldwin-Wallace leads, 48-24. Baldwin-Wallace's defense has forced HU into a number of mistakes, particularly here in the second half. But it looks like the Princes are just being beaten by a better team.

With 4:52 left in regulation, it's 59-28 B-W.
