Walsh vs. TU women

February 16, 2013 - Zach Baker
This may be the sloppiest I've seen Tiffin play. There's so much indecision on offense, but still a fair amount of rushing. Jessica Harris can't do it herself, and neither can Steph Kelly. And yet, Tiffin leads Walsh 34-29 with 14:36 left.

Melissa Gilliland with a jumper pushes TU's lead back up to seven, but Walsh answers. Macy Byrd has a basket to push TU's lead back up to seven at the 13-minute mark. Maggie Berry has a nice shot for Walsh, but she's the only one who looks confident out there on either side.

More sloppiness as Tiffin's lead has been cut to one. Jess Harris has seven, while Jillian Adams has 11, but it's been a battle for TU to score this half. TU leads 40-39 with 9:14 remaining.

TU has completely fallen apart on both ends, Walsh leads 47-42 with 4:34 left. Most troubling has been the offensive execution in the last three games. Teams are discovering that the Dragons just don't like pressure. And Walsh has had three offensive rebounds in one possession.

TU got three looks at a game-tying 3 in the final seconds. At the last possible moment, the ball kicks out to Steph Kelly, who buries a trey from the left wing as the buzzer sounds. We got overtime. 51-51.
