Beatrice learns to adjust to changes in friend
Beatrice Zinker prefers being upside down and actually does her best thinking that way. She sees the world differently than those around her. Even in her own family she sticks out, being the middle child with a sister who is exactly like their mother and a brother who is exactly like their father. Despite this, Beatrice is comfortable with who she is and doesn’t try to change to be someone she is not.
Beatrice’s best friend, Lenny, never has looked at her as a problem to be solved but a perfect partner in crime. That is why Beatrice is so troubled when Lenny comes on the first day of third grade looking and acting completely different. Lenny has a new friend who doesn’t like thinking outside the box or anyone who tries to. Beatrice will have to do some very creative thinking to solve this problem. “Beatrice Zinker Upside Down Thinker” is the first book in a new series by Shelly Johannes.
