Help pass the mental health and recovery levy
Many of you know me from “The Morning Edition” on WTTF, and perhaps some of you know me through my role as a dispatcher for local law enforcement. Through these experiences, I am aware of people who utilize and are greatly impacted by the services that are provided through funds from the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board. I have seen firsthand how well consistent treatment can work for people in overcoming difficulties in life. Helping people achieve a better quality of life is such an amazing experience and this is one of the best reasons for supporting our local Mental Health and Recovery Services Board. After talking with the executive director of the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board about the upcoming Mental Health and Recovery Levy, I realize how important it is that all citizens are informed that although the ballot in November will read “additional tax” this levy will take the place of the existing levy. Please make sure to read about the levy and what the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board has to offer and vote “yes” for the upcoming levy!
