Stop for school buses

It’s that time of year again — time for school and big yellow buses!

A driver needs to stop for a school bus that is stopped for pick up or drop off — the red lights flashing and the stop sign on the bus out. Stopping back 200 feet.

This means all school buses, including the Seneca County Opportunity Center buses as well as public school buses.

Failure to do so can result in a couple of points on your driver’s license, a fine of $250 and, depending on your age, suspension of one’s license.

So, put down the cellphone and pay attention to the road before we have a serious accident or a death.
