Share at the Fair benefits seven organizations

About a year ago, Share at the Fair was born with the goal to raise funds and collect items to benefit local charities. I couldn’t be more grateful to announce that together we raised more than $3,000 and countless items to help those in need! Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Because of your support, seven organizations — American Red Cross, Financial Assistance for Cancer Treatment, Seneca Community Chaplain Corps, Seneca County Junior Fair, Seneca County Fair, Seneca Mentoring Youth Links and Tiffin-Seneca United Way — each are receiving $400 or more.

Local first-responders are receiving more than 150 stuffed animals to help children in crisis. Nearly 100 coloring and activity books, nearly 50 packs and 800 new crayons, and about 60 books were donated for children.

Other donations included a Kroger gift card, stickers, glue, markers, folders, notebooks, filler paper, construction paper, pencils, erasers, book covers, pens, colored pencils, finger puppets, a plaster magnet kit, a sketch pad, a journal, paint posters, a puzzle, clothing, shoes, a backpack and children’s toys.

Those helping people suffering from house fires are receiving kitchen, cleaning and laundry supplies, hygiene items, photo frames, a pillow and shoes. Mothers facing a pregnancy will benefit from your donations of a rattle, personal care items and diapers.

This would not have been possible without the assistance and support of so many of my family members and friends who are family. Thank you to all who had a hand in making this such an incredible community effort.

The amount of love shown for others is overwhelming and beautiful.

Thank you,

Jill Gosche,
