An opportunity to grow
When people in my community oppose the Republic Wind project, they are hurting truck drivers. It is getting more difficult to drive an 18-wheeler up and down dangerous and congested highways. By our community participating in the wind project, I could work locally on the wind farm and be home with my family every day while bringing home a good income and benefits.
As at truck driver, I drive by the wind farm in Hardin County. I don’t know what opponents are talking about when they call the turbines “eye sores.” The turbines aren’t rusty, they are kept in great condition and make the fields look robust. I challenge people to visit a wind farm and experience the turbines first hand before we lose out on this wonderful opportunity for our community to grow.
