Grateful for gifts for Christmas Day dinner

The 10th annual Community Christmas Day dinner again was hosted this past Christmas Day at Camden Falls.

More than 750 meals were served to guests and volunteers. The buffet-style dinner included roast turkey, honey-glazed ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables, garden salad, dinner rolls and various desserts. A children’s buffet of chicken tenders and macaroni and cheese also was available.

Gifts of Ballreich’s potato chips, fleece jackets, popcorn balls and dental packages were given to dinner guests. Santa Claus was present, spreading Christmas cheer and having his picture taken with the young and young-at-heart. A group of choristers sang everyone’s favorite Christmas songs and carols.

A huge “thank you” for all the community members who attended the dinner.

A special thanks to Adam Smith and the kitchen staff at Camden Falls for helping make this dinner a Christmas success and to Seneca Crawford Area Transportation for providing transportation to many dinner guests.

Many thanks also to Ballreich Bros., Bair Bros., Burns Electric, Wagner Floral, Tiffin Lions Club, The Advertiser-Tribune, Dr. Jeff Hoyda, Bob Evans Restaurant, Frisch’s Big Boy Restaurant, Randy Wiser, Nancy Leis, Tom Bridinger, Kelly Hohman, Seneca News Daily and radio stations WTTF and WTSC for all of their generosity and support for the dinner.

We are grateful to all of the 230 volunteers who helped to set up, decorate, wrap gifts, serve food and beverages, bus tables, clean up and sing Christmas carols. Their help was invaluable. Thank you to you all.

It was a special community dinner on a very special day. The Christmas spirit was alive and well at Camden Falls this past Christmas Day.

We will offer this dinner again on Christmas Day, as we truly believe “No One in our community should be Alone or Hungry on Christmas Day!”

Sincerely,

Board of Trustees for The NOAH Foundation of Ohio
