Thanks to all who made Oktoberfest a success

The 2013 Oktoberfest at the Garlo Heritage Nature Preserve is in the books. It was a small miracle that the weather cooperated and allowed us all to enjoy a wonderful day. Thank you for your “sunshine” prayers.

We would like to thank all of our loyal and generous sponsors who came through again this year. Thank you.

We also need to thank all the volunteers who prepared and served the delicious bratwurst and German potato soup and the fantastic baked goods of the Baeckerei.

Thanks to all the vendors and demonstrators and performers who brought their expertise to the Oktoberfest.

One of the highlights of the day was the children’s activities and we want to thank all who organized, supervised and helped the kids.

Thanks to the folks who brought their tractors, Gators, wagons and straw bales as well as the tractor drivers and narrators.

Finally, thanks to the set-up and tear-down crews and all the great volunteers who helped in countless ways to make the day a success.
