Museum’s speaker was fun, informative
A special thanks to Roger Jenot, who gave an insightful and very informative speech about President Abraham Lincoln.
Mr. Jenot entertained and taught us with his lively portrayal of President Lincoln. He very much looks the part with his beard and stove pipe hat, which helped us to be more engaged and open to learning little known aspects of one of our nation’s most recognizable historical figures.
We would also like to thank the 33 people who braved the cold and flurries to come and enjoy Jenot as Abraham Lincoln. We were pleasantly surprised by the turnout and the praise given for our museum and our guest speaker program we are starting.
Next month, from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, March 16, Jennifer Distel will be speaking about women in the Civil War. You might be surprised to find out women, as with World War II, played a very vital role in the Civil War.
We will be doing more guest speaker spots, as we are finding such public enthusiasm during the 150th anniversary of the Civil War.
If you would like to contact us for more information or about being one of our guest speakers, call (419) 455-9551 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
