Synergy, momentum building downtown
If the riverfront development announced Thursday comes to fruition, Tiffin will realize another key part of downtown revitalization, and add housing options to complement that added earlier this year in the west side commercial district.
The Tiffin River Front Project revealed this week is to include condominiums and lofts. Earlier this year, the 52-unit Tiffin Pointe project on West Market Street along restaurant row opened, offering affordable two-, three- and four-bedroom townhouse-style apartments in an attractive setting.
New businesses continue to open downtown, and with the opening of East Green Amphitheatre, another piece of the strategic plan for the area became a reality. That plan also envisions more residential properties downtown, and the loft apartments, condos and hotel planned near the river at city center would fit that vision.
Each addition is a catalyst for the next. Seneca County residents, and Tiffinites in particular, should look forward to seeing what other developments will be prompted by this latest project.
