Critical incident team will fill need

We tip our cap twice this week over the formation of a local critical incident stress management team — once for the team members who would offer debriefing and coping services in the wake of crises, and another for the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Seneca, Sandusky and Wyandot Counties for hosting their training earlier this week at North Central ohio Educational Service Center.

The critical incident stress management team being assembled includes first responders, mental health professionals and probation officers, along with representatives from hospice, faith-based and educational systems.

The team could be operational by July 1, if not sooner, and offer support to those who experience stressful incidents.
