In an interview on CBS’ “60 Minutes” Sunday night – Cyber Monday eve – Amazon.com CEO Jeff Bezos said the company is developing airborne drones to drop off packages.
The new-tech version of homing pigeons would use small, unmanned helicopters guided by GPS coordinates.
Meanwhile, eBay is experimenting with one-hour delivery in New York, Chicago and San Francisco. The online retailer hopes to expand the service into 25 more cities.
