Plenty of important decisions on ballot
The general election this year doesn’t feature a race for president or Congress, but the 2013 ballot does involve many key decisions. And, because some of these contests will be decided by a few hundred voters, an individual vote is more likely to make a difference.
Today, voters in our circulation area will help select the Tiffin City Council president, at-large members of Tiffin City Council, the city council representatives from the first and second wards in Fostoria, the fiscal officer in Big Spring Township, members of the boards of trustees in Bloom, Clinton, Jackson, Liberty, Pleasant, Scipio, Seneca and Thompson townships, plus school board members in the Buckeye Central, Carey, Hopewell-Loudon and Old Fort school districts.
Also, voters will decide the fate of tax issues for Dorcas Carey Public Library, Pleasant Township, Old Fort Local School District, Clyde Public Library, EHOVE Joint Vocational School District, Scipio Township, Attica, Attica-Venice Township Joint Cemetery, New Riegel, Big Spring Township and Bettsville School District, plus the question of electricity aggregation in Clinton Township and Sunday beer sales in Tiffin’s 1C precinct.
If you haven’t voted yet, cast your ballot between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. today. Your vote does count.
