Virginia M. Fadley

Virginia M. Fadley, 73, of rural Wharton, died Monday, June 10, 2019, at her residence, after a 3 year battle with ALS.

She was born Jan. 7, 1946, in Bucyrus, to Warren and Dorothy (Webster) Gottfried, both of whom are deceased. She married David A. Fadley Aug. 20, 1967, and he survives.

She is also survived by her three children, Brent (Hannah) Fadley of Forest, Todd (Julie) Fadley of Springfield and Melissa (Kip) McWilliams of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Denny (Robin) Gottfried of Sycamore; two sisters, Joyce (Stanley) Brown of Tiffin and Jan (Mike) Aken of Sandusky; a sister-in-law, Becky Gottfried of Melmore; and a brother-in-law, Carl McCue.

Mrs. Fadley was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Coletta McCue; and a brother, Mark Gottfried.

Visitations will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, and 1 hour before her service Thursday, June 13, at Big Oak Church in Wharton.

The funeral for Virginia M. Fadley will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 13, 2019, at the church, with Bob Damschroder officiating. Burial will follow in North Salem Cemetery.
