Ann Louise Callaghan, 69, of Greensboro, North Carolina, passed away peacefully Friday, Dec. 14, 2018, at home surrounded by loved ones after a year-long battle with brain cancer.
She was born Jan. 30, 1949, in Tiffin, to Robert L. and Mary “Lois” Callaghan.
She is survived by her two brothers, Steve and Ned; two sisters-in-law, Amy and Katherine; four nephews, Chris (Ramona), Connor, Collin and Reilly; and niece, Kelsey.

She graduated in 1967 from Tiffin Calvert Catholic High School, where she made lifelong friendships. Ann graduated from the University of Dayton in 1971 with a bachelor’s degree in social work.
The ocean called to Ann and she moved to Sausalito, California, where she spent many years restoring wooden sailboats. Ann’s adventures took her to many states but she went to Greensboro in 1998 to help her twin brothers in their new business. Ann worked for Cal-Clean for 10 years, then the U.S. Post Office and retired from there in 2014.
Ann so loved to laugh with her friends and family and enjoyed jazz and blues. She was happy spending time gardening and feeling the beauty and peacefulness of her backyard.
