Geraldine R. Stauffer, 75, of Tiffin, passed away at 10:58 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin.

She was born May 24, 1943, in Fostoria, to Clarence and Emma Rose (Kiefer) Kin. She first married Borden Emshoff and they later divorced. She then married William B. Stauffer Sept. 11, 1976, at St. Mary Catholic Church, and he survives in Tiffin.

Survivors include her children, Tim (Tammy) Emshoff of Tiffin and William (Karen Reyes) Stauffer of Juneau, Alaska; six grandchildren, Brandon, Cadin and Ryan Emshoff of Tiffin, Roman Williams of Findlay and Mindy and Willy Stauffer of Juneau, Alaska; a great-granddaughter, Holly Stauffer of Juneau, Alaska; and two brothers, Don (Barb) Kin of Tiffin and Jim (Ladora) Kin of Florida.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Trina Emshoff and Sharlene Stauffer; and a grandson, Cory J. Sigler.

She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a 1961 graduate of New Riegel High School. She worked at Hayes-Albion until it closed. She then went to Terra State and graduated as an registered nurse and later retired from Americart in Fostoria.

Geraldine was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during peacetime.

Geraldine was a wonderful wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. She saw the good in everyone and would help anyone she could. Anyone who knew her was better because of it. She was definitely one of God’s angels on Earth.

Visitation for family and friends will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2019, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin.

A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2019, at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Anthony Coci officiating. A rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
