Steven Glenn Tyree

Steven Glenn Tyree, 71, of Tiffin, passed away at 2:41 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at his residence.

Glenn was born April 23, 1947, in Whitesburg, Kentucky, to Andrew and Oma (Lucas) Tyree. He first married Dottie Shumway, and they divorced; then he married Frances (Hursey) Nov. 29, 1997, and she survives in Tiffin.

Survivors include a son, Todd (Michelle) Tyree of Ava Marie, Florida; a daughter, Amy Tyree of Taylorsville, North Carolina; a stepson, Gene (Connie) Hursey of New Riegel; a stepdaughter, Dolores (Eddie) Fredritz, of McCutchenville; two grandchildren, Zach and MacKinze Tyree of Florida; three stepgrandchildren, Amanda (Jared) Thiel, Eddie Fredritz and Charlie Hursey; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Easton and Harlow Thiel; a brother, Sam (Linda) Tyree of McCutchenville; two sisters, Ruth Gruhn of Denison, Texas and Nora Gannon of Gunter, Texas.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; eight brothers, Bill, Clyde, Ercel, Ralph, Donald, Bennet, Ray and Edward; two sisters, Gladys Dudley and Norma Biller; and three infant siblings.

Glenn was a retired truck driver and also the owner/operator of G&F Ceramics with his wife. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, raising chickens and playing euchre.

Glenn was a U.S. Marine veteran, serving during Vietnam.

Visitation for family and friends will be 11-1 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2019, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin.

Funeral for Glenn will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Tyree officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmont cemetery, with military honors being rendered by United Veteran’s Council.
