Thelma L. Woodward Profitt
Thelma L. Woodward Profitt, 82, of rural Republic, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, at her home.
Thelma was born March 9, 1936, in Narland, Virginia, to Hardy and Cynthia V.A. (Mullins) Mullins. She married David R. Profitt April 2, 2017, and he survives.
Survivors also include her four children, Andrew (Angela) Elam of Port Clinton, James Wesley (Barbara) Woodward of Fremont, Ricky Lynn (Helen) Woodward of Lindsey and Sandra Kay Woodward Stilitner of Bloomville; four stepchildren, Lloyd A. Profitt of Republic, Linda C. Profitt of Minot, North Dakota, Denise A. Profitt of Green Springs and David Edward Profitt of Bellevue; eight grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and five siblings, Delores Carty of Colburn, Virginia; Joyce Mullins of Spring City, Tennessee, Marlene Brooks of Clintwood, Virginia, Walter Mullins of Tampa, Florida, and Jequeta Briskey of Stryker.
Mrs. Profitt was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard J. Woodward, and a great-grandchild.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the service at noon Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde. Burial will be in Butternut Ridge Cemetery.
Memorials are requested in the form of donations to her great nephew, Charles Ruger Lynn Dannel of Tennessee, to search for a diagnosis. Contributions may be given to Thelma’s family.
