Robert Michael ‘Bob’ Swing
Robert Michael “Bob” Swing, 65, of Findlay, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018, at the Wexner Heart Center, Columbus.
He was born Dec. 28, 1952, in Tiffin, to John and Dolores (Karch) Swing. He married Diane K. (Ernest) Zahler Aug. 16, 2006, and she survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Amy (Jeffrey) Gerschutz of Carey and Danielle (Darin) Reinhart of Cygnet; a stepson, Shawn (Gretchen) Zahler of Findlay; two stepdaughters, Arin Zahler and Christina (Dustin) Stuhler, both of Findlay; seven grandchildren, Noah, Andrew, Haley, Ethan, Jacob, Gavin and Aidan; seven stepgrandchildren, Andrew, Samantha, Skyler, Tesla, Brooklynn, Kaidynce and Brodie; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Lily and Norah; and a brother, Dan Swing of Alvada.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Steve Swing; and an infant sister, Joyce.
Bob was a 1971 graduate of New Riegel High School. He retired from Meijer Inc., following 30 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman, and he enjoyed hunting with his beloved beagles, fishing, riding his motorcycle and, most of all, spending time with his grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018, at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home.
Funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, 2018, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Knollcrest Cemetery.
