Steven E. Smith
Steven E. Smith, 64, of Port Clinton and formerly of Findlay, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at his home.
He was born April 25, 1954, in Tiffin, to Edward C. Smith and Andrea Lee (Englehart) Strane. He married Michele Bugner June 30, 1978, in Fostoria, and they were later divorced.
He is survived by two sons, Todd (Leslie) Smith of Texarkana, Texas, and Ryan (Megan) Smith of Findlay; and five grandchildren Jordyn, Landyn, Ashton, Lucy and Finn; his father, Edward (Gerry Opp) Smith of Tiffin; sister, Kelly (Jeffrey) Densmore of Pleasanton, California; and three brothers, James (Janet) Smith and Andrew (Natalie) Smith, both of San Diego, California, and Martin (Carmen) Strane of Scottsdale, Arizona.
He was predeceased by his mother, Andrea Lee Strane and stepfather, Dr. Charles L. Strane.
Steve graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School and attended Bowling Green State University. He retired in 2007 as director of national account sales for Advanced Drainage Systems (ADS), formerly Hancor Inc., Findlay, with over 29 years of service. He was a past member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, a past Third and Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, and Past Grand Knight of JFK Memorial Council No. 5635 Knights of Columbus, Dunedin, Florida.
There will be a memorial visitation 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 12, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, 301 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria.
A Mass of resurrection will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 13, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, with The Rev. Todd Dominique presiding. A luncheon will follow in the parish hall.
Memorials are requested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or a charity of the donor’s choice.
