Theodore C. ‘Ted’ Buck

Theodore C. “Ted” Buck, 86, of Bellevue, died Sunday, May 13, 2018, in his home.

He was born May 17, 1931, in Bellevue, to Walter J. and Estella (Haas) Buck. He married Marlene Scheid June 16, 1957, and she survives in Bellevue.

He served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a hospital corpsman and served on the USS Iowa.

Also surviving are two sons, David (Susan) Buck of Centerville and Douglas (Peggy) Buck of Lewis Center; three grandsons; a great-grandson; and a brother, Robert (Suzanne) Buck of Denver.

Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Thursday, May 17, at Auxter Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue.

His funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John Lutheran Church, 209 Southwest St., Bellevue, with the Rev. Scott Mauch officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue City Cemetery. Military graveside services will be provided by Bellevue VFW, American Legion and Marine Corps League.

Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church Property Committee, St. John Christian preschool or the donor’s favorite charity.
