Rosalie Burgderfer, 79, of Bloomville, passed away Friday morning, May 11, 2018, surrounded by her family at her home.
Rosalie was born July 27, 1938, in Toledo, to the late William and Velma B. (Busson) Bolcsak. She married Paul A. Burgderfer Aug. 3, 1974, in Bloomville, and he survives in Bloomville.
Other survivors include three daughters, Cynthia (Mark) Beat of Attica, Joyce (Mark) Merrillees of Granville and Jill (Dennis) Karcher of Upper Sandusky; son, Ken (Angie) Burgderfer of Republic; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, James (Lois) Bolcsak of Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Karcher.
Rosalie was a 1956 graduate of Devilbiss High School, Toledo, a member of Bloomville Lions Club, Modern Mothers Club and Bloomville United Church of Christ. For 24 1/2 years she worked for Seneca County Health Department working as the Vital Statistics secretary and local health registrar, retiring in 2000. She also enjoyed baking, cooking and cleaning, taking care of her flowers and cats, and being with her grandchildren.
The funeral for Rosalie will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19, Bloomville, with Pastor Tom Kagy officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bloomville.
Visitation for family and friends will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2018, at the funeral home. Bloomville Lions Club will conduct Lions services at 7:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
