Clarence ‘Eugene’ Boner

Clarence “Eugene” Boner, 85, of Tiffin, died at 5 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, 2017, at St. Francis Home.

Eugene was born July 27, 1932, in Tiffin, to Clarence C. and Mary Ellen (Homan) Boner. He married Bonny Ellen Mizen Jan. 12, 1974, at St. Mary Catholic Church, and she died Oct. 16, 2006.

Other survivors include a son, Todd Bonner of Tiffin; a daughter, Gail (Josh) Newsome of Tiffin; six grandchildren, Lara, Thomas and Kaitlyn Bonner and Juliet, Charitie and Joshua Newsome Jr.; a brother, Ronald C. (Karen) Boner of Tiffin; a sister, Nancy (Richard) Burns of Sarasota, Florida; and a special friend, Burdella Stuckert.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a grandson, Christopher Newsome; and a sister, Marilyn Wurm.

Eugene was a graduate of Calvert Catholic High School, a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and retired as a night watchman at Sterling-ITT.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 25, 2018, from 11 a.m. until time of services at noon at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-3113. The Rev. Anthony Coci will officiate and burial will follow at Seneca Memory Gardens.
