Gregory Alan Higgins
Gregory Alan Higgins, 56, of Tiffin and formerly of Carey, died unexpectedly at 10:14 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital, Tiffin.
Born Aug. 6, 1961, in Findlay, he was the son of Robert W. Higgins Sr. and Constance (Wilcox) Romick. His mother survives in Tiffin.
Surviving also are his six children, Joshua Higgins, Seth Higgins, Bethany N. Higgins, Chelsea T. Higgins, Della R. Higgins and Shelby L. Higgins; four siblings, Gary (Richelle) Higgins, Bryan (Meiko) Higgins, Patricia Higgins and Robert Higgins Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his father; a brother, Terry Higgins; a nephew, Aaron “Masato” Higgins; and stepfather, Richard Romick.
Greg was a 1979 graduate of Vanlue High School and attended diesel mechanic school at Lima Tech. He was currently employed at Tiffin Metal.
He was an avid fan of the OSU Buckeyes and Steelers. He enjoyed fishing and being a handy man for family and friends. He could fix anything. He loved arrowhead hunting and collecting Native American artifacts.
Friends will be received 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018, at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey. A private graveside service with Pastor Tom Kagy officiating will be at a later date at Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
