Rowena L. ‘Blondie’ Gannon
Rowena L. “Blondie” Gannon, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, at the Fairhaven Home, Upper Sandusky.
Rowena was born Jan. 15, 1930, in Aflex, Kentucky, to the late Edward B. and Molly Lee (Hanners) Cox. She married Lee Gannon in 1947, and they later divorced.
Survivors include her two sons, Gerald Gannon of Tiffin and Roger (Sandra) Gannon of Bloomville; a daughter, Sue (James) Fraley of Tiffin; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Eloise Cox.
Rowena worked as a nurses aide at Fry Foods, Tiffin, for 13 years.
Rowena also was preceded in death by two sons, Ronny and Louis Gannon; three brothers, Lawrence, Raymond and Sam Cox; and three sisters, Ruth Blomfield, Helen Bauer and Opal Ferguson.
The funeral for Rowena will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin, with the Rev. Paul Tyree officiating. Burial will follow the services on Friday at Seneca Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
