Ray L. Frey
Ray L. Frey, 93, of Fremont, died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017, at his home.
He was born Sept. 27, 1924, in Fremont, to Walter and Mary Viola (Herr) Frey. He married Jean Wott Dec. 26, 1947, and she survives.
Survivors include two children, David (Cathy) Frey of Hugo, Colorado, and Debora (Robert) Hoffman of Fremont; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Darl Frey; and one sister, Eileen Frazer, both of Fremont.
Mr. Frey was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings, Harold Frey, Charles Frey, Albert Frey, Dale Frey, Juanita Freeman, Mabel Cherry, Ruthie Frey and Letta Marie Frey.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde.
His funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, at First United Methodist Church, Clyde, with the Rev. Sheryl Seitz officiating. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery, Clyde, with military rites provided by Clyde VFW and American Legion.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Sandusky County Humane Society or ProMedica Memorial Hospice.
