Ruby Cook, 90, of Salem, Indiana, and formerly of Tiffin, passed away at 8:25 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017, at Salem Crossing Nursing Home in Salem, Indiana.
Ruby was born July 29, 1927, in Whitesburg, Kentucky, to the late Pete and Ollie (Givens) Cook. She married Orville D. Cook in Whitesburg, Dec. 23, 1944, and he preceded her in death Oct. 24, 2009.
Survivors include her son, Jerry (Linda) Cook of Marion, Indiana; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Wanda Collins of Whitesburg, Kentucky, Sally Sexton of Whitesburg and Henrietta Adams of Bellville, Michigan.
Ruby was a homemaker and a member of Eighth Avenue Freewill Baptist Church.
Funeral for Ruby will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin with the Rev. Clifford Tyree officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service Thursday in Greenlawn Cemetery.
