Kurtis J. Smith | Advertiser-Tribune Kurtis J. Smith, 29, of Bellevue, died Monday, Aug. 10, 2015, at his home. He was born Oct. 29, 1985, in Norwalk. Kurtis served in the U.S. Army National Guard with a tour in Iraq. He was a diesel mechanic for Norfolk and Southern Railroad and enjoyed hunting, working out at the gym and helping people farm. Kurtis loved anything that ran on diesel and was a member of the Volkswagen TDI club. He truly cherished being a father and loved spending time with his wife and daughter.
