Randolph Barker, 88, of Tiffin, passed away at 11:54 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, in the emergency room at Mercy Tiffin Hospital.
Randolph was born May 23, 1926, in Corbin, Kentucky, to the late Haines and Mary Ellen (Broughton) Barker. He married his wife of 63 years, Patricia Ann (Creeger) Oct. 7, 1950, at Trinity Episcopal Church, Tiffin, and she survives.
Survivors also include his daughter, Vickie Barker and son, Steve Barker, both of Bloomville, and a granddaughter, Claudia Barker of Toledo.
Randolph worked at Tiffin Glass House and later went on to retire from Ford Motor Co., Sandusky. Randolph was a member of Tiffin Moose Lodge No. 846. He was a loyal and faithful husband and father. Randolph had a heart of gold and could light up a room with his laughter and jokes. He enjoyed playing cards, horse racing and all the good times spent with family and relatives. Randolph was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during World War II.
Randolph also was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Henry, Alonzo, and Rudolph Barker; and a sister, Elizabeth Immelle.
Private services will take place at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery, Tiffin.
