Clifton Beamer, 88, of Bellevue, passed away Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at The Willows at Bellevue.
He was born Aug. 2, 1925, in Attica, the son of the late Perry and Clara (Vogt) Beamer. He married Helen “Holly” Steinmetz June 3, 1947, in Willard. She preceded him in death in 2010.
Cliff worked as a maintenance man at Klein Steel and Thomas Steel. After his retirement, he worked at Venice Equipment and Beamer’s Farm Service. He also served as a Boy Scout leader and on the Attica and Seneca East school boards. He was a member of St. Gaspar del Bufalo Catholic Church, Bellevue. He loved pheasant hunting, fishing, mowing his yard, planting flowers and tinkering in his garage.
He is survived by two sons, Dean (Patti) Beamer of Bellevue and Mike (Patsy) Beamer of Bellevue; a daughter, Sheri (Dave) Bogner of Attica; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son, Roger Beamer; and grandson, Andrew Beamer.
Friends will be received 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, where the rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at St. Gaspar del Bufalo Catholic Church, 16209 E CR 46, Bellevue. Burial will follow at Attica-Venice Cemetery.
