Ada Elizabeth Steinhilber Dininger

Word has been received that Ada Elizabeth Steinhilber Dininger has died.

She was born Sept. 26, 1916, in Nevada, Wyandot County, Auburn Township, to William and Cora Kent Steinhilber. She was the third of four children – including Hazel Steinhilber, Lester Steinhilber and Emma Reidel – now all deceased.

She attended Nevada Elementary School, Mount Zion Middle School and Holmes Liberty High School, Bucyrus, graduating in the class of 1936.

Ada and Melvin Earl Dininger were married Sept. 24, 1939, in a double wedding ceremony with her sister, Emma, and Ross Reidel. Ada and Melvin were active members of the Tiffin Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Ada was a devoted mother to their two surviving children, Vivian Dininger Ahlers of Berren Springs, Mich., and Edward Dininger of Daytona Beach, Fla. Ada loved her three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Melvin pre-deceased Ada Nov. 30, 1990.

Visitation will be noon until her funeral begins at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, 201 W. Saffel Ave., Sycamore. Pastor Marcellas DeOlievera of Bucyrus Seventh-day Adventist Church will preside.
