Lori Constant, 87, formerly of Tiffin, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013, in Tampa, Fla., where she had resided since 1989.
She was born March 1, 1926, in Danville, Ill., to Clifford and Cecil (Lunger) Ruthrauff. Brothers Dwight and Junior completed their family. In 1951 she married Tom Constant, who preceded hfer in death in 1991.
She is survived by four daughters, Pam (Jerry) White of Carol Stream, Ill., Suzy (Jerry) Donaldson of Jonesborough, Tenn., Barb (Harold) Herron of Sugarcreek, and Elizabeth (Ed) West of Tampa, Fla. Lori also was survived by two granddaughters, Christine and Kaitlyn; six grandsons, Peter, Richard, Joshua, Adam, Ryan and Kevin; three great-grandsons, Caulin, Dylan and Owen; and two great-granddaughters, Jessica and Joliea.
Tom and Lori owned and managed two restaurants in Tiffin during the 1960’s, The Lamppost Inn and Uncle Tom’s Chicken. She later worked at Osterman’s at Westgate Village and Tiffin Mall, where she enjoyed the companionship of her colleagues and visits from her many friends and customers. She was feisty, opinionated, fun and faced life and death with courage and dignity. She will be dearly missed.
