Tiffin City BOE Support Services Committee to meet

The Tiffin City Board of Education’s Support Services Committee is to meet at 8 a.m. Friday at the Administration Building, 244 S. Monroe St.

GroveFest celebrates

nature with free, hands-on activities at Spiegel Grove

FREMONT — The Hayes Presidential Library & Museums continues to share the Hayeses’ love of the outdoors through its annual GroveFest, that will take place from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. June 22. This free event showcases Spiegel Grove, which is a state park, and includes nature organizations offering hands-on activities throughout the day.

Back to the Wild Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Castalia will give a live animal presentation with some of its education animals.

Food will be available on the grounds for a donation or purchase.

South Creek Clydesdales will offer horse-drawn wagon rides for a fee through Spiegel Grove with guides sharing points of interest on the property.

Visitor parking is off-site only with the exception of those who have handicapped tags for their car. Parking will be available on the street and in ProMedica Memorial Hospital’s parking lots at Buildings A and B, located at 605. Third Ave.

Spiegel Grove is a short walk to the east of the hospital parking lots.
