Man admits sex-related crimes

Brandon Lane

A Fostoria man accused of sex-related crimes involving two teenage girls pleaded guilty during a hearing in Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Steve Shuff’s courtroom Monday afternoon.

Brandon C. Lane, 21, pleaded guilty to two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, both fourth-degree felonies.

A spokeswoman for the city of Fostoria’s prosecutor’s office had said the allegation is that the girls worked at Fostoria’s McDonald’s, where Lane is a manager.

The girls told law enforcement they had been provided alcohol by Lane, according to court records.

The case is being referred for a pre-sentence report, and the sides are to argue for the appropriate punishment at sentencing.

Lane would be classified as a Tier II sex offender and would have to register twice annually for 25 years. He would not be able to establish a residence within 1,000 feet of a school or childcare center.

Shuff ordered him to have no contact with the two victims.
